Currently listening to: "No Matter What" by T.I.

I’m caught up on all my work!!!! YEAHHH!!! I’m so excited because I’m finally done with being behind. Between the calls, the grade inputting, and everything that has been going on, my life has been more hectic than I anticipated it would be. Today, I finally caught up after about 2 weeks of being all over the place. The only thing that I need to work on NOW is cleaning up my apartment and getting some stinkin’ sleep! Monday Night, I didn’t sleep until at least 4am. It was MANHUNT MONDAY, and I had a lot of fun playing manhunt with my friends. Unfortunately, I really suck at finding people, and I was the last the find the people each time. Oh well. The night before last (Tuesday night), I didn’t sleep until about 6:30am, even though I was at home. I got really into philosophizing with people, so I got an unexpected boost of energy for no reason at all. Haha. Next time, don’t work me up like that; I won’t be able to get sleep! Finally, last night (Wednesday night), I didn’t get home until 6:30am, and I didn’t sleep until about 7:30am. The thing is I watched Transformers in IMAX! WHHATT! Freakin’ awesome. After the movie, which ended at about 3am, I just messed around and hung out at the train station for no reason at all. Actually, there was a reason. I turned on my iPod and started dancing like I was at a club. Also, I may or may not have had soju. Haha. No, just kidding. I was not drunk. I was just very excited and was feeling the groove; you just can’t stop it. I found out yesterday that Harry Potter is coming out next week! I love Harry Potter, and I’M SO EXCITED NOWWWW!!!!! Haha. Oh man, now that’s making me nostalgic. All I can think about, at the moment, is Kris and Melissa playing Harry Potter and yelling spells at each other. Haha. Fun times. Anyways, I am definitely going to see Harry Potter ASAP!

Other than that, I haven’t been doing too much else. Is that fair to say? I think I’ve been doing quite a lot! haha. In down times, I have been still trying to study Korean. Like I’ve said before, it’s coming along slowly, but I’m getting there. I study as often as I can, but I think it’s just a very difficult language to basically teach oneself (well, kinda). I’ll get there one day. I’m starting to listen better, and I’m picking up more and more words + phrases … useful phrases, like “you’re beautiful,” or “did it hurt … when you fell from Heaven?” You know, those phrases have so many purposes. If a fight is about to break out, “hey, you’re beautiful,” or if you need help finding the freshest fish at the super market, “wow, you’re beautiful,” OR if you are looking for someone to pay for your lunch, “did it hurt when you fell from heaven? are you an angel?! hey, YOU’RE beautiful!” Okay, just kidding… Anywho, the last thing I want to blog about is the fact that I haven’t been a tourist at all yet. I mean, I’ve walked around several districts in Seoul, but I’ve been working and trying to have too much fun. I didn’t even realize that I’ve neglected the whole tourist aspect of my living here. That’s part of the reason why I don’t have many pictures yet. So, expect to see more pictures soon (well, moderately soon). As I told you before, I am going to Daechon with Kris this weekend. BUT neeexxxxt week, I’m going to start exploring. I’m excited! WEeEE!

Okay, I lied. There’s one more thing I want to discuss. I want to conclude by saying something to everyone (who reads this thing). Well, I must say that I’m not disappointed, by any means, but it would be nice to talk to some of you more. While I’m on the subject, I should also mention that the other handful of you talk to me too much. Hahaha, just kidding. Ok, real talk: it would be nice to talk to you or hear from you all a little more, so that I can hear about ya’ll. Friends, especially, would it hurt to go on Skype/GChat/AIM a little more?! SHEESh!!!!!!!!! With that, I hope all is well with everyone, and I mean that sincerely. I really hope everyone is working hard, having fun, and enjoying this thing we call life.

Cheers,
Kyle

  1. hi Kyle, loved your blog post! you are a fun writer to read. I'm up way too early on a Saturday morning, cornbread baking in the oven, baked beans simmering on the stove. Aunt Di is having a BBQ today at 4, but I'm working 10:30-6 so I'm making everything now so Jon and Missy can bring to the party.
Missy and I saw the new Johnny Depp movie last week, we felt it was not worth paying the big screen price. We can't wait to see Harry Potter either - hoping to hit it next week. Yes, I too have those same fond memories of Missy and Kris yelling "spells" all thru the house, was it just 3 months ago! HA Jon's Wed. men's summer golf league is on, so us girls can hit the movie's on Wed. nights. did you watch the trailer?? it looks so good! Kyle your ball in France - it'd be so cool to watch it there!

So Kyle, I am happy to hear of your dancing at the train station - life must be good, carefree and fun for you - YAY!! This is my hope for you kids:

G-ma, Missy and I went to visit uc Davis last week, g-ma for Winco of course. Missy liked Davis, and will apply there too! Missy has been working all summer at Legarza, but had the week off due to no camp during 4th of July. She's back at Aragon on Monday for work.

The antique store has been slow, I hear June and July are the slowest months, but i'm doing ok. You know how people say at work, if I win the Lotto, you 'll never see me again? well, if I won the Lotto, I'd just expand - that is how much I love it. One of my other hopes for you kids, find something you love to do and embrace it!
I have many hopes for you kids, you know :)

So we are finally refinancing, it has been tougher to get a loan, but Keith got us a very good one. Your brother is very tenacious, one of the things I admire about him. He's running a race right now in Sacto.

G-ma and her new roomies seem to be doing well. G-ma had a busy week this week. Monday she treated A. Teri, Brett, Missy and I to Isobune - YUM. Tuesday and Wednesday we were in Vacaville/Davis. Thursday, she and Missy walked CUTE Jacob to the mall. Yes, she is feeding him french fries, she tries to rub the salt off...I asked her if she also squeezed all the oil out too! Yesterday, she had someone come to sell her Cutco, and today is the bbq.
So have you had a chance to find good Korean BBQ? I'm hoping by the time you come home, you and Kris will be able to make it for us. I've been craving it. Did I tell you, in San Diego, we went to the BEST one ever??? And Sushi - any good restaurant finds yet?? Or is it costco all the way?? Kimchee in bulk??
Well, I'll guess you're tired of reading all this, if you even got this far, so I'll sign off now. Miss you lots and love you more! mom
